Shout out to my support runners

This a special blog post for the support runners joining me to get me through the 26 mile launch of my 2012 challenge on New Year’s Day. It’s going to be a tough run on Sunday as I haven’t been able to train properly for weeks due to injury. Having my friends running alongside me is going to get me through it. I mentioned my support rider and drivers in my last post, but forgot the runners. So a massive thank you to Anne-Marie Thomas, Sarah O’Brien and Mike Carey for each agreeing to do a 6.5 mile leg on Sunday to get me through the last 19. 5 miles – it’s going to be hurting guys so please get me through it anyway you can – make me laugh, make me cry but most of all make me run!

Today I ran my last miles of 2011 and that’s it now until the launch on Sunday. 2011 was great, I rediscovered running and completed 3 half’s and one full marathon – bearing in mind 2 years ago I was struggling to walk most days with a back injury I still have to pinch myself to believe it. But it’s all about 2012 now and I can hardly believe it is almost upon me. Thrive (Cardiff) have come a long way in the 6 weeks or so since I announced my challenge and 2012 is going to be as big a year for them as it is for me – I hope we are all ready for it!
